Tribhuvan University (TU) has instructed the Dean's Offices and campuses not to admit any students to the undergraduate level after the stipulated admission deadline.
The University's Registrar, Khadga KC, issued a notice stating that no new admissions should be taken after the commencement of undergraduate classes.
The university has warned that students admitted beyond the specified dates in the academic calendar and admission notice will not be allowed to sit for examinations. TU has also stated that the respective Deans and Campus Chiefs will be held responsible for any violations.
This directive comes after Kantipur Television aired a news report highlighting that some campuses were still admitting students to the undergraduate level even after the deadline set by the academic calendar.
