The Council of Ministers formally approved the conversion of Tilganga Eye Hospital into a full-fledged university during their meeting on Tuesday, Jestha 02, 2080. The hospital will now have the chance to broaden its focus beyond delivering medical services and establish itself as a higher education institution, which represents an important turning point for the hospital.
Government spokesperson Rekha Sharma provided more information about this development. She disclosed that the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology has been given permission to establish a university affiliated with Tilganga Eye Hospital. This shows that the government is aware of the hospital's value and its capacity to advance education, notably in the field of eye care.
Sharma added that the Madan Bhandari University of Science and Technology Supervisory Committee had elected some persons following the cabinet meeting.
