Three Health Academies Collaborate for Enhanced Medical Education Collaboration

Three prominent medical institutions, namely the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS), BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), and the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS), have come together to sign a tripartite agreement aimed at fostering collaboration.

The primary objective of this collaborative effort is to bolster the field of medical science education with a focus on producing proficient healthcare professionals and augmenting the development of the health workforce.

Under the watchful eye of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health, Upendra Yadav, discussions regarding the agreements took place, with the Vice-Chancellors of the respective institutions playing a pivotal role. Dr. Mangal Rawal, the Vice-Chancellor of the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences, shed light on the intricacies of the agreements, emphasizing collaborations between all three institutions.

Dr. Rawal further elucidated on the exchange programs envisaged among the three institutions, highlighting the challenges faced in operating educational programs in remote areas through urban centers like Kathmandu's NAMS and Dharan's BPKIHS. He underscored the commendable efforts being made to conduct similar undergraduate and postgraduate programs even in more remote regions like Jumla.
