The Education and Human Resources Center has urged schools to update the details of students eligible for targeted scholarships. Today (Chaitra 16, 2080) the center issued a notice directing schools to ensure the eligibility of students in grades 8 and 10 at the secondary level (grades 9–12) for the academic session 2079 to receive targeted disadvantaged scholarships.
Students who have filled out the PTM form have been instructed to analyze the results according to the "Disadvantaged Targeted Scholarship Management Criteria 2080" and distribute them as per previous practice.
For students who filled out forms in grade 8 for the academic session 2079 and are regularly studying in grade 9 in a community school for the academic session 2080, the notice mentions ensuring their eligibility and opening their bank accounts.
Instructions have also been provided to students who filled out forms in grade 10 for the academic session 2079 to ensure the accuracy of their details and to open bank accounts for them to receive scholarships.
(a) All students listed in the first quintile studying in grade 11 in a community school for the academic session 2080,
(b) All students listed in the second quintile studying in grade 11 in a community school in science subjects or vocational streams for the academic session 2080,
(c) All students listed in the third quintile studying in grade 11 in a community school in science subjects or vocational streams for the academic session 2080.
Students in grades 9 and 10 eligible for scholarships will receive an annual amount of Rs. 6,000 each. Similarly, students studying in grades 11 and 12 who have studied science subjects or vocational streams will receive a yearly amount of Rs. 24,000, and those studying other subjects will receive an annual amount of Rs. 18,000. If classified in sections (b) and (c) of serial number 2, they will receive an annual amount of Rs. 24,000 each.
Students who have studied regularly and received scholarships in grades 9 and 11 will automatically receive scholarships in grades 10 and 12.
Regarding the arrangement of scholarship amount payments to the respective students' bank accounts, schools have been instructed to update the details of students receiving scholarships through the school and ensure that the bank accounts of students receiving scholarships are opened online in the IMIS system.
