South Korean Professors Monitor Special Needs Education in Purbanchal University

A team of professors led by Prof Jung Dae Yong from the Changwon National University, Republic of Korea has carried out an observation at Purbanchal University. A team of four professors from the Changwon National University visited Purbanchal University for monitoring the Special Needs Education course being run at the Bachelor's level under the Faculty of Education of Purbanchal University.

The course is run with support from Changwon University. The team on Wednesday held discussions and interacted with the students studying the course. In course of the interaction, students inquired about the need, opportunities, and challenges of Special Needs Education. In reply, the professors said that Special Needs Education is useful for people with disabilities and differently-abled students. They said there is high demand for it in South Korea. The Korean professors had asked the students about the course and the learning process at Purbanchal University.

They said that the students pursuing Special Needs Education would get employment in the private, public, and government sectors of Korea. A team under the leadership of the Dean of the Faculty of Art, Education, and Law, Purbanchal University, Prof Dr Anil Kumar Pokharel, comprising Planning Section Chief of the University, Dr Komal Dulal, Chief of Janata Adarsha Multiple Campus, Mahesh Prasad Niraula, among others held discussion with the team of Korean professors.

They held discussions on various issues including how to make Special Needs Education effective, and providing scholarships to meritorious students with Bachelor's Degrees to study for Master's Degrees in Korea, said Campus Chief Niraula. Janata Adarsha Multiple Campus, a constituent campus of the Purbanchal University, started teaching Special Needs Education under Education Faculty from last year.
