SOS Children’s Villages Nepal, a part of SOS, has successfully enhanced the integration of information and communication technology in public schools through a development program. The 18-month project was executed in Shanti Niketan Secondary School of Panauti, Ganesh Bharti School of Banepa, and Children's Villages, Shreekhandapur. The initiative provided 20 laptops, 1,010 tablets, three smart boards, and 18 months of internet access to the students.
Roshni Silwal, the Coordinator of SOS Nepal Project, shared insights into the project's impact on students' learning during the program held in Banepa. The discussion covered the positive influence on learning outcomes, students' interest, challenges faced, proposed solutions, and the role of local government in education. The program saw the participation of school principals, focal persons, teachers, and representatives from the education branch of the municipality.
