Softwarica College Launches 'Robo Warriors League' to Foster Student Talent and Innovation

Softwarica College of IT and E-Commerce has introduced the 'Robo Warriors League,' a new initiative aimed at showcasing the skills and creativity of its students. The Robo Warriors League 2024/25 officially commenced today (September 2, 2024) and will run for six months on the college campus in Dillibazar.

The league will feature over 24 robots, each built and programmed by student teams, competing against one another in various challenges. The event has attracted sponsorship from several prominent companies and organizations across sectors such as technology, education, and entertainment. Among the sponsors are Digi School Global, Store House Nepal, Hamro Khelkud, Glam House Studio, UK College, Quality Beach Resort, Rameshwar Interiors, Sunway College, Online Laptop Store, and Broadway Infosys.

Additional support for the event comes from Seres Automotive (LLR), Koirala Sounds and Lights, Himalayan Group, Tech and Trendy, Changunarayan Municipality, Shrey Group Consultancy, Danfelink, Bhayanet Communication, Hotel Diamond Palace, The Friends Café, Institute of Analytics (IOA), and Uni Campus Global. Each student team in the competition will represent one of these sponsors, blending innovation, competition, and branding.

"This league is not just a competition," said Pramod Poudel, Principal of Softwarica College. "It’s a learning experience that combines entertainment with practical skills. Students will not only work with robots but also have the chance to collaborate with industry professionals, acquiring valuable life skills in the process."

The competition will be held every Sunday, leading up to the final stage, with free entry for those interested in watching the robot battles live. Additionally, the events will be broadcast live on the college's Facebook and YouTube channels.

The winning team will take home NPR 350,000, while the second and third place teams will receive NPR 100,000 and NPR 50,000, respectively.
