Mahashram Sharma has been appointed as the chairman of the National Examination Board on the recommendation of the Public Service Commission.
Sharma's concept and action plan were presented at the commission at the commission's central office, Kamalpokhari on December 16. The commission had conducted the interview on December 17.
Sharma, 64, is a former employee of the Nepal Education Service. Sharma, a resident of Baglung Jaimin Municipality-10, started his teaching service in 2033 BS from Janata High School in Baglung Pagi.
He taught at Janata Secondary School, Sarkhuwa till 2036 BS. He taught science at Khumjung Secondary School, Solukhumbu from 2038 BS to 2041 BS.
He started his civil service in 2042 BS as a school inspector while teaching at Mahendra Bhawan Mavic in Kathmandu. He became the Secretary to the Government of Nepal in 2072 BS. He became the chairperson of the Citizens' Investment Fund in 2074 BS.
