School of Management Tribhuvan University Hosts Social Creatinnovation Program

The Social Creatinnovation Program: Global Leadership & Management Winter Camp officially launched on January 4, 2025, at Tewa, Lalitpur. This prestigious five-day event, running from January 4–8, 2025, is a collaborative initiative led by UNESCO UNITWIN, Handong Global University (South Korea), and the School of Management at Tribhuvan University (SOMTU), Nepal, with sponsorship from the Ministry of Education, Republic of Korea.

The camp brings together a diverse group of professors, researchers, staff, and students from Nepal and South Korea, fostering a vibrant cross-cultural exchange and collaboration environment. Mr. Phul Prasad Subedi, Deputy Director of SOMTU, presided over the opening ceremony and served as the Master of Ceremony, ensuring the event proceeded smoothly.

Distinguished professors from Handong Global University attended the event, including Prof. Dr. Soo Young Chang, Prof. Dr. Byung Deok Kang, Prof. Dr. Geun Bae Jang, Prof. Dr. Kyu Bong Cho, and Prof. Dr. Kuk Woon Lee. Associate Professor Dr. Jeetendra Dangol, who joined them from SOMTU, led an orientation session outlining the camp's goals and planned activities.

The inaugural session featured inspiring speeches from prominent academic leaders. Prof. Dr. Soo Young Chang and Prof. Dr. Byung Deok Kang emphasized the importance of global leadership and innovation in addressing contemporary challenges. Meanwhile, Nepali academics, including Prof. Dr. Mahananda Chalise, Dean of the Faculty of Management, and Senior Prof. Dr. Dilli Raj Sharma of Tribhuvan University, highlighted the camp’s role in fostering international collaboration and mutual learning.

In a concluding address, Associate Professor Dr. Govinda Tamang, Director of SOMTU, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the organizers, participants, and sponsors. He acknowledged their collective contributions to making the event a success and underscored its significance in enhancing leadership and management expertise.

Over the next four days, participants will engage in workshops, interactive sessions, and collaborative activities designed to sharpen leadership and management skills while promoting cultural exchange and mutual understanding.
