School Health Nurse program has been omitted from the final draft of the National Health Policy 2074 of the government.
The policy was introduced a year ago by the government for the betterment of the students.
The policy has been removed due to the deceitful activities of the health workers according to the Nursing branch of the Ministry of Health and Population.
The National Health Policy of the 2071 had decided on placing a health worker in each school which did not prove to be fruitful. Hence, a nurse for each school was thought to be necessary.
According to the advisor of the Health Minister Deepak Bohara , the policy has been removed since it represented the field of nursing only.
