Rotaract Club of Liberty College Hosts 'Sharing Love 2.0' for Orphan Children

On February 14, 2023, the Rotaract Club of Liberty College, in partnership with Liberty College, organized an event called ‘Sharing Love 2.0’ at Naya Nepal Samaj Kendra to spread love and happiness among the orphaned and needy children. The aim of the event was to provide food, rice, vegetables, and necessary materials to the children who are far away from their families and in need of care and love.

The event was made possible through the generous funding provided by Rishi Lal Shrestha, the Discipline In-charge of Liberty College, and Asim Lama, a BBA student at Liberty College, as well as the support of Anita Lama, who sponsored the event.

The Secretary of the Rotaract Club of Liberty College, Urgen Wosel Tamang, spoke about the event and said, “The Rotaract club is an international club where we can meet new people and in this club, we can do any project related to professional, community, etc. As the Rotaract Club of Liberty College is a university-based college, due to the lack of funds, we organize small events like blood donation, sharing love, cleaning campaigns, etc., that will benefit the community.”

The event was a great success and provided a valuable experience for the members of the club. Community Service Director Niyati Baral said, “Talking about experience, it was too good to spend time with the children. We learned how to work in time. We faced lots of difficulties to gain funds, and after getting funds, we gained experience that nothing is impossible if the idea is good, then we can get funds easily. The children shared their thoughts, and they were very happy with our work and they enjoyed our work.”

Professional Development Director Anushka Shrestha also shared her thoughts and recommended that people should conduct similar events and contribute to the community, as the children need love and care.
