Purbanchal University has decided to accommodate Nepali students who have to return to Nepal from abroad without completing their studies due to specific reasons.

The Registrar's Office (Information Technology Division) of Purbanchal University has issued a notice stating that Nepali students who have been pursuing higher education in various countries and are unable to complete their studies due to certain circumstances can now continue their education within Nepal through a credit transfer provision.

Under this provision, students can transfer credits for subjects that align with the academic programs offered at Purbanchal University, provided they have completed the necessary procedures in coordination with the Government of Nepal.

This credit transfer will be applicable to various academic programs conducted in constituent and affiliated schools, campuses, and colleges of the university, in accordance with the standards set by the Purbanchal University Academic Council. This decision targets to support students who wish to resume their studies in Nepal. The university has released this notice to inform all concerned parties about this new provision.

Recently, Nepali students studying at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) University in Odisha, India, are returning to Nepal following the death case of the Nepali student Prakriti Lamsal at KIIT. On this context, the university made the decision to provide credit transfer specifically targeting these returning students.
