Prof. Ishwari Prasad Dhakal has been appointed as a Vice Chancellor of Agriculture and Forestry University, Chitwan.
Chancellor and Prime Minister Shusil Koirala has appointed him as VC on 24th August, 2015. Prof. Ishwari Prasad Dhakal is a veterinary doctor who has recevied PhD from Japan. He is close to Dr. Baburam Bhattari and has been appointed from the Quota given to Maoist.
Prof Dhakal, a PhD from Rakuno Gakuen University, is the Dean of Faculty of Animal Science, Veterinary Science and Fisheries in AFU.
A VC Recommendation Committee led by Dr Yagya Bahadur Karki had recommended the Prof Dhakal’s name as the VC of Chitwan-based AFU yesterday.
From the quota of Congress, 4 VCs has already been appointed. 2 VC quota has been given to CPN UML, which are yet to decide their candidates.
