Prof. Dr. Divyasingh Shah has been appointed as the Dean of the Institute of Medical Studies (IOM), Tribhuvan University. Prof. Dr. Shah is the head of the kidney department of the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital and is also the personal physician of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
A meeting of the TU Executive Council on Wednesday appointed Prof. Dr. Shah as the dean out of the three recommended by the search committee.
The committee headed by Prof. Dr. Prem Raj Gyawali had recommended the names of Prof. Dr. Pradip Vaidya, Prof. Dr. Divyasingh Shah and Prof. Dr. Uttam Krishna Shrestha.
