At Maitighar on August 10th, a unified assembly of private school administrators voiced their opposition to the draft bill that seeks to modify and unite regulations governing school education.

According to a previously announced protest schedule, a demonstration occurred at Maitighar Mandala, organized by private school proprietors. Their primary demand was for the bill to undergo specific amendments. The private school owners expressed concern that the government's approach towards unifying the education law lacked consultation with private school associations and might enforce a mandatory Guthi provision.

PABSON, National PABSON, and HISSAN have collectively staged a protest, urging for certain provisions in the bill to be tailored to their needs. The bill currently requires private investment schools to convert all their duties, including infrastructure, into educational institutions within a span of five years.

In the event that the bill is not revised to accommodate the requests of private schools before being presented to parliament, educational institutions operating under corporate entities, private associations, and public groups nationwide have declared their intention to suspend operations until their demands are satisfactorily addressed.
