In a praiseworthy endeavor, Prime Bank Limited demonstrated its dedication to endorse education and uphold native knowledge by making a donation of One Million Nepali Rupees to Kathmandu University on July 27, 2023. The donation was presented during a special event at the office of the Vice Chancellor, KU, attended by representatives from both the bank and the university.
Mr. Narayan Das Manandhar, CEO of Prime Bank, commended Kathmandu University for its pioneering efforts in establishing the Yogic Science and Well-Being program. He applauded the university's initiatives to promote and preserve indigenous knowledge in the field of Yogic Science, recognizing its potential to positively impact the community.
During the event, Prof. Dr. Shiva Gopal Risal conveyed his best wishes and encouragement to Kathmandu University to continue its valuable work in integrating Yogic Science into academia. He expressed hope that the donated funds would act as a seed investment to further enhance the development and expansion of the Yogic Science program at the university. Mr. Atmaram Pandey, also speaking at the event, expressed his belief that KU would consolidate and promote the indigenous knowledge found in the teachings of prominent Yog Gurus like Khaptad Swami and Shivapuri Baba. He praised the commendable strides KU had made in the field of Yogic Sciences.
Prof. Dr. Achyut Wagle, Registrar of KU, conveyed heartfelt gratitude for the generous contribution from Prime Bank. In a similar vein, Prof. Dr. Bhola Thapa, Vice Chancellor of KU, shared the motivation behind the inception of the Yogic Science Program.
