President Ram Chandra Paudel has urged the utilization of available resources and capabilities to provide competitive and quality education in line with global standards in order to oplift education standards in the country. Speaking at the inauguration of the Hirak Jayanti celebration at Pashupati Ideal Secondary School in Lahan, President Paudel emphasized the pivotal role of education in shaping not only individuals but also society and the nation as a whole.
President Paudel stressed the importance of education, stating that it should be grounded in consciousness, knowledge, discipline, culture, and civilization. He underscored the need for policies, curriculum, and teaching methods to evolve accordingly to meet the demands of the modern world.
"The government must adhere to timely provision of education based on schedule, budget, and plan, and foster sentiments of nation-building and national unity to propel the country towards economic prosperity," President Paudel asserted.
Highlighting the growing trend of migration to urban areas for employment and education, President Paudel called upon local-level schools to focus on delivering quality education in an accessible and straightforward manner. He expressed confidence that these schools could play a pivotal role in instilling hard work and diligence among students, thereby contributing to the development and preservation of collective sentiments within communities.
Furthermore, President Paudel emphasized the necessity of cooperation and coordination from all sectors for the advancement of education. He urged local bodies, parents, and communities to actively participate in education-related endeavors and prioritize curricula that promote national unity and discipline.
In recognition of the importance of collaboration at all levels, President Paudel emphasized the imperative for support from governmental bodies and stakeholders to develop essential tools, physical infrastructure, and skilled manpower required for educational development.
President Paudel commended the contributions of schools over the past seven decades to various sectors such as education, economy, culture, and society. He expressed optimism that these institutions would continue to progress, nurturing skilled manpower, advancing technical and physical infrastructure, and meeting the evolving needs of students and parents.
On the occasion of Hirak Jayanti, Members of Parliament Teju Lal Chaudhary, Govinda Neupane, and former minister Padma Narayan Chaudhary extended their best wishes. They reminisced about their time at the school and expressed hopes for its continued progress. President Paudel also honored two dozen land donors and former students in recognition of their contributions to the school.
