Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences has taken the theoretical approval for running the Master’s level programs.
The first general meeting held today also passed the budget for the fiscal year 074/075 BS.
The Chancellor of the Academy Prime Minister Sher Bahadur has expressed the purpose of te extension of the programs for producing the qualified and skilled manpower in the field of helath Sciences.
The Western Regional Hospital Pokahara was extended as Academy of health Sciences from the year 2072 as per the Governments policy to establish medical college in each province of the country. The hospital was handed over to the Government in the year 2019 BS. It is the biggest hospital in the Western region with the capacity of 500 beds.
The meeting was also attended by the Health Minister Giriraj Mani Pokharel and Vice- chancellor Prof. Dr. Buddhhi Bahadur Thapa who expressed their views supporting the necessary homework to be done on the proposal for the proper and effective functioning of the programs.
