Students from the BIT Faculty of Padmashree College, known as The Achievers Group, organized a Cyber Security Awareness Program at Mahendra Gram School in Sudal, Bhaktapur on July 31, 2023. The event was attended by more than 100 students and teachers from the school, who learned about the importance of cybersecurity in the digital age.
The program covered various topics related to cybersecurity, such as phishing, malware, social engineering, password management, online privacy and cyber hygiene. The participants were taught how to recognize and prevent common cyber-attacks and how to protect their personal and professional data online. The program also included interactive sessions, quizzes and games to make the learning process fun and engaging.
The Cyber Security Awareness Program was a part of The Achievers Group’s initiative to spread awareness and education about cybersecurity among the local communities. The group consists of students from the BIT Faculty of Padmashree College who are passionate about technology and innovation. They have been conducting various workshops, seminars and events on topics such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, cloud computing and web development.
The event was a success and received positive feedback from the participants and the school authorities. The program helped the students and teachers to become more aware and confident about their online security and safety. The program also inspired them to explore more opportunities in the field of cybersecurity and technology.
The Achievers Group plans to organize more such programs in the future to reach out to more schools and communities in Nepal. They hope to create a positive impact on society by empowering people with knowledge and skills in cybersecurity. They also aim to promote Padmashree College as a leading institution for technology education in Nepal.
