The Nepal Veterinary Council (NVC) has issued a public notice canceling the admission process for the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc & A.H.) programs at several universities due to non-compliance with regulatory standards. The decision was made during the Council's 336th meeting on 2081/04/21 (B.S.) following the review of admission-related notices published by various universities.
Purbanchal University, along with its affiliated institutions, Himalayan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (HICAST) and Nepal Polytechnic Institute (NPI), had published online application forms for the joint scholarship entrance examination for the B.V.Sc & A.H. program for the academic session 2081/82 (B.S.).
Similarly, Tribhuvan University issued an admission notice for the same program on 2081/04/18 (B.S.). The Council noted that these institutions needed prior approval as required by the Nepal Veterinary Council Act, 2055, and the Nepal Veterinary Council Regulations, 2057. Furthermore, these institutions have yet to receive permanent accreditation from the NVC, as mandated by the Council's Minimum Standards Regulations for Educational Institutions, 2063.
In response to these violations, the Council has urged canceling the admission process for the upcoming academic session at the concerned universities and institutions. The NVC emphasized that admissions should only commence after the institutions meet the Council's minimum standards and secure the required accreditation.
The public is advised that the Council will not recognize admissions based on previous notices from these universities.
