Nepal Government, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology publishes notice for verification or authentication of Academic Documents only after certified as given.
Government of Nepal Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology Singhadarbar, Kathmandu, published a notice regarding verification (authentication) of educational qualifications. The ministry has clarified that it will verify the documents only after the academic records are verified, as mentioned below.
Regarding educational qualifications for school education:
Upon verification of the mark sheets/academic certificates up to Class 9, the Village/Municipality Chief Administrative Officer or the Education Officer of the respective Village/Municipality (Authorized) or District Education Development and Coordination Unit Chief, as designated authorities
After verifying the mark sheet/transcript, original certificate, and migration certificate from SEE/SLC to Class 12 or equivalent from the relevant examination board.
Regarding educational qualifications for higher education:
After verifying the transcript/mark sheet, migration, and original certificates related to higher education or equivalent from the examination board
Regarding educational qualifications issued by foreign boards:
For educational qualifications issued by foreign boards, a two-step verification process is required. First, certification by the designated authority in Nepal, followed by verification by the designated Nepalese diplomatic mission and the relevant university/board or the Nepalese government-authorized certification from the Nepalese Consulate in the respective foreign country.
Note: The name, position, signature, date, and office stamp of the verifying authority must be mentioned compulsorily during the verification process. Also, when coming for verification, the concerned individual or a family member with relationship proof must be present as per the information provided in this notice.
