The 78th meeting of the Nepal Sanskrit University Council has approved a budget and program for the upcoming fiscal year amounting to NPR 1.31 billion.
The income and expenditure budget, presented by Registrar Prof. Madhav Adhikari and based on targets and programs for physical development, was approved during a meeting held today at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar. The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister and Chancellor K.P. Sharma Oli.

During the meeting, Chancellor Oli emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting Sanskrit, which embodies Nepal's rich heritage of modesty and capability. He highlighted that providing quality education is a distinct responsibility of the Nepal Sanskrit University. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Dhaneshwor Nepal announced the introduction of the concept 'One Vidyapeeth: One Model Gurukul' across all seven provinces. This initiative aims to preserve the Gurukul system and ensure a sustainable financial source for the university.
