 The Nepal Nursing Council (NNC) has provided important information for aspiring nursing professionals preparing for the upcoming Registration Certificate Exam. This examination is a crucial milestone for those looking to enhance their nursing careers in Nepal. Below is a comprehensive guide to assist candidates in their exam preparation:

 

Key Information:

  • Online Form Submission: Open from 2081/02/08 to 2081/03/05
  • Late Submission with Double Fee: Acceptable from 2081/03/06 to 2081/03/09 (until 5:00 PM).
  • Examination Date (Proficiency Certificate Level Nursing and BSc Nursing): Ashar 15, 2081 (Saturday)
  • Examination Date (Midwifery and Specialist Nurse): Ashar 18, 2081 (Tuesday)

Eligibility:

  • Candidates for the registration examination must have passed the Proficiency Certificate Level in Nursing (PCL Nursing) or BSc Nursing.
  • Candidates for the Midwifery registration examination must have passed the Bachelor in Midwifery Science (BMS).
  • Candidates for the Specialist Nurse registration examination must have passed a postgraduate degree in Nursing.

Application Process:

  • Online Application: Candidates must apply exclusively through application.nnc.org.np no other submission method is valid.
  • Examination Fee: 
  1. Proficiency Certificate Level and BSc Nursing: NPR 3,100 (Normal Fee), NPR 6,100 (Late Fee)
  2. Midwifery: NPR 4,100 (Normal Fee), NPR 8,100 (Late Fee)
  3. Specialist Nurse: NPR 5,100 (Normal Fee), NPR 10,100 (Late Fee)

Examination Details:

  • Proficiency Certificate Level and BSc Nursing:
  1. 150 full-mark questions
  2. Passing score: 50%
  • Midwifery:
  1. 150 questions (computer-based exam), passing score: 50%
  2. 50 full mark practical exam, passing score: 80%
  3. Candidates failing any part of the Midwifery name registration exam must reapply for the respective part.
  • Specialist Nurse:
  1. 150 questions
  2. Passing score: 60%

Preparation and Submission Requirements:

  • Education Certificates: Candidates must possess their educational qualification certificates issued by 2081/03/05.
  • Test Guideline: Available for download from the Council's website.
  • Admit Card: Will contain details about the exam center and start time.

Additional Information:

  • Non-Refundable Fee: Incorrectly submitted fees will not be refunded.
  • Potential Interview: The Examination Committee may conduct interviews if deemed necessary.
  • Foreign Candidates: Those studying abroad must upload an eligibility letter from the Medical Education Commission dated October 1st, 2020.
  • Examinee Conduct Form: Must be downloaded, signed, and uploaded from the Council's website.
