Kathmandu – The National Examination Board (NEB) has officially published the results for the Grade 12 examinations. The decision to release the results was finalized during a board meeting held earlier today, Friday.

According to NEB spokesperson Jayanti Satyal, a total of 418,170 students appeared for the examinations, which commenced on Baishakh 14. The board reported an overall pass percentage of 64.13%.

Disciplinary Actions

The board also noted that the results of 40 students have been cancelled due to conduct that violated examination ethics and regulations. This total includes 30 students from the regular category and 10 from the partial category.

How to Check Your Results

Students can access their results through the following official channels:

  • Websites: Log in to the National Examination Board’s official portal at result.neb.gov.np or the Nepal Telecom portal at neb.ntc.net.np.
  • SMS: Type NEB (space) [Symbol Number] and send the message to 1600.
  • IVR/USSD: Dial 1601 or dial *1601# from your Nepal Telecom mobile number.

Note:

1. Provisions Regarding the Issuance of Certificates

a. Students who appeared in the Grade 12 examination as regular or partial candidates (with registration numbers beginning with 79, 80, 81, or 82) and have obtained at least a D grade in the theoretical examination of each subject and at least C grade in the practical/internal assessment examination may apply for and pay the required fees for their Transcript, Migration Certificate, and Provisional Certificate (TMP) only 15 days after the publication of the results.

For regular candidates, schools shall collect the prescribed certificate fee of NPR 1,500 and send a representative to the concerned offices of the Board to process the certificates. Schools are also informed not to charge any amount exceeding the prescribed fee.

b. To obtain educational certificates, students must compulsorily submit either:

  • A self-attested grade sheet showing that they have achieved the minimum required grades in Grades 11 and 12, or
  • A certified copy of the ledger.

2. Retotaling of Marks

Candidates who are dissatisfied with the grade obtained in any subject and wish to request a retotaling may apply online by paying a fee of NPR 1,000 per subject.

Applications must be submitted through the Online Payment (Retotaling) service available on the National Examination Board's website (neb.gov.np) within 7 days from the date of result publication, i.e., from 11:00 AM on Ashadh 6, 2083, to 5:00 PM on Ashadh 12, 2083.

3. Correction of Errors in Results

If any errors are found in the published results, such as:

  • Withheld or absent status,
  • Incorrect subject,
  • Incorrect name,
  • Incorrect registration number, or similar issues,

Students are requested to submit an application along with the necessary documents to the concerned Board office or the National Examination Board, Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, within six months from the date of result publication.

Applications submitted after the deadline or without the required documents will not be processed.

4. Eligibility for Supplementary (Chance) Examination

Students who appeared as regular candidates in the Grade 12 annual examination conducted in Baisakh 2083 and:

  • Obtained a D grade or higher in all other subjects, but
  • Received NG (Not Graded) in a maximum of two subjects, or
  • Were absent in a maximum of two subjects,

shall be eligible to appear in the Supplementary (Chance) Examination.

5. Correction of Technical Errors

If any technical errors are found in the published results, they will be corrected based on the original records maintained by the Office of the Controller of Examinations.
