The National Examination Board (NEB) is preparing to publish the results of the Grade 12 examinations by Shrawan 25.
As per the academic calendar, the results were originally expected by Shrawan 15. However, a 29-day-long protest by teachers that began on Chaitra 20 caused delays in the examination schedule, resulting in a roughly 10-day delay in the publication of results.
According to Krishna Prasad Sharma, Controller of Examinations at NEB, the delay in conducting the exams has affected the timeline for result publication. "Technical work is progressing rapidly. We are working to publish the results by Shrawan 25," he stated.
Originally scheduled for Baisakh 11, the Grade 12 examinations had to be postponed and were eventually held starting from Baisakh 21. A total of 511,525 students participated in this year's exams.
The exams were rescheduled due to a protest launched by the Teachers' Federation, which demanded the introduction of the School Education Act. The protest, which lasted 29 days, was a major factor in the adjustment of the academic timeline.
