NEB Decides to Publish SEE Results 2079 as per Old Grading Guidelines

In a recent meeting, the National Examination Board made a significant decision to release the results of the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) for the year 2079 according to the Letter Grading Guide from 2072. This decision comes after repeated concerns expressed by various stakeholders regarding whether to adopt the revised grading guidelines or adhere to the old ones.

As the SEE conducted this year was based on the old syllabus, the board has decided to publish the results according to the previous grading guidelines.

The Letter Grading Guideline was initially introduced through a ministerial decision on January 7, 2078. A few months later, on February 18, 2078, the first amendment was made to the guideline, specifying that students scoring below 35 points in the theoretical section would be labeled as unclassified (9) or non-graded (0), and they would not receive the original certificate.

The Controller of Examinations of the Board, Bishnu Narayan Shrestha, stated that the results could be announced on any day, with preparations underway to release them by Ashar 22. Shrestha further clarified that if there are no technical difficulties, the results will be announced within the specified timeframe. He emphasized that the board is committed to adhering to its schedule.

A total of 485,396 students participated in the SEE, which took place from the 17th of Chaitra, 2079. The examinations were conducted across 2,037 examination centers.

Once the SEE results are announced, they will be available for viewing on see.edusanjal.com.
