The N-PABSON has accorded support to the Private School Standard and Operation Directives- 2012 issued by the Ministry of Education (MoE).

Another umbrella organisation of the private schools, PABSON, however, had already declared that it would not be forced to follow the directives by showing objections in some of the points managed by the government in it.

It was not better to disregard the directives issued by the MoE for they were prepared in the joint efforts of the government and in our involvement that is why N-PABSON has written to the schools under our affiliation for implementing the Directives, said Geeta Rana, Chairperson of the N-PABSON.

"But we have put some conditions and suggestions," said Rana."We hope that due attention will be given gradually towards the suggestions," she added.

The PABSON has expressed concern over the provision of keeping only 22 students in a class and have school building on its own land.

Chairperson Rana suggested that it was right to keep 22 students in a class but there should be clear provision for students' number for admission according to the schools' category.

Similarly, the government should give special consideration on tax to purchase two vehicles for a school, said Rana.Meanwhile, Nepal Guardians' Association Nepal continued the protests unless the PABSON's disobedience declaration was called back.
