The Office of the Dean, Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Mid-West University, has organized a discussion program on July 28, 2082, focusing on the revision of existing curricula and the development of new academic programs at the bachelor’s and master’s levels.
The program aimed to gather insights from diverse stakeholders to ensure that academic offerings are aligned with current societal and labor market needs. As part of the ongoing curriculum reform process, the university has been conducting consultations with various organizations and individuals to integrate essential skills, knowledge, and competencies into the curriculum.

The event was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anand Prasad Subedi, Dean of the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences. Representatives from national and international non-governmental organizations(NGOs) operating in Surkhet, heads of central departments, FSU presidents, guardians, current students, alumni, and other key stakeholders participated in the program.
Speakers emphasized the importance of shifting toward a more practical, skills-oriented education model that enables students to become self-reliant or immediately competitive in the job market upon graduation. Representatives from NGOs also expressed willingness to collaborate with the university by offering internship opportunities to students.
