The Mid-West University Business Incubation Center (MUBIC) has announced the opening of applications for its prestigious training program, "Entrepreneurship and Innovation Training Program: Enhancing Skills and Promoting Start-up for Creating Job Opportunities and Developing Economic Growth in Karnali Province, Nepal."
This comprehensive training, equivalent to a graduate course of 3 credit hours, aims to equip participants with basic and advanced knowledge in entrepreneurship, focusing on skills and practices. This program is supported by the University Grants Commission, Nepal.
The training is divided into three distinct phases:
Phase 1: Knowledge Tier (1 credit Hour)
Approximately 50 participants will engage in physical training covering basics of entrepreneurship such as animal husbandry, agribusiness and identifying high business potentialities. This phase includes self-paced courses, peer discussion, assignments, and webinars led by local and national experts.
Phase 2: Skill Tier (1 credit Hour)
Participants will advance to training on entrepreneurial tools and techniques. They will focus on developing innovative and sustainable business solutions to tackle enterprise development challenges, including climate resilience and business practices.
Phase 3: Practice-Tier with business proposal development and implementation (1 credit hour)
In the final phase, participants will develop a detailed proposal for a new enterprise or projects with high potential for job creation and resilience. This phase includes mentorship, coaching, and an intensive workshop conducted either online or in person.
Eligibility:
- Young entrepreneurs aged 20 to 40 years from Karnali, Nepal, eager to make a positive impact in their community, can apply
- Bachelors passed/last semester running/studying in Masters program
- Proficient in spoken and written Nepali and English
- Committed to completing the entire training
- Able to commit a minimum of 3-5 hours per week during the program
