The Medical Education Commission has published a notice regarding matching and priority setting of teaching institutions and academic programs through an online system for the open group of Medical Education Commission Entrance Examination for Postgraduate Level (MECEE-PG 2025). Candidates who had set their priorities as per the notice published on 2081/12/14 can now edit their preferences, and those who have not yet set their priorities can do so through the online system.
Key Details:
- Online priority setting START Date: Jestha 12, 2082 (May 26, 2025), 7:00 PM
- Online priority setting CLOSE Date: Jestha 18, 2082 (June 1, 2025), 5:00 PM
- Candidates are required to set their priorities within this period.
- No claims regarding priority setting will be entertained after this deadline.
- Priority setting should be done via the commission’s official website: entrance.mec.gov.np.
Candidates can log in and perform online priority setting for educational institutions and academic programs by following the steps below:
Online Process for Priority Setting of Institutions and Programs:
- Eligible candidates under the open group based on MECEE-PG 2025 results must visit https://entrance.mec.gov.np and click on the login button. Use your Username and Password to log in to your profile.
- After logging in, go to the Application Menu on your profile.
- Click on the “MECEE-PG 2025 View Details”.
- In the Action column beside your chosen program, click on the Set College Priority button.
- To determine the priority order, click on the Add College and Program button. A drop-down menu will appear to select the educational institution and academic program. Arrange your priorities using the Insert below, Insert above, and Remove buttons as needed to add, remove, or change priorities. After setting the priorities, the candidates must click the “Save College and Program Priority” button.
- Candidates should only select the educational institutions and academic programs/subjects they wish to study, based solely on the information displayed in the MEC online system.
- The full list of priorities in the online priority setting can be modified/updated as desired within the given period. However, changes or updates will not be saved in the system unless the “Save College and Program Priority” button is clicked. If not saved, the system will retain the last saved preferences as the final priority order.
- After the deadline for setting priorities, candidates must download and securely keep the confirmation page showing their final priority settings.
- After completion of the online priority setting, based on eligibility, priority order, and seat availability, the first seat recommendation will be made through a computer-based system.
- The first seat recommendation result for the open group of MECEE-PG 2025 will be published on 2082/02/21 B.S. (June 4, 2025).
Note: Candidates who set their priorities within the timeline as per the notice published on 2081/01/29 but do not make any edits during this period will automatically be recommended based on their previously set priorities.
