Mahesh Bhattarai has been officially appointed as the new Secretary of the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT). The decision was reached during a cabinet meeting held on December 27, following a thorough evaluation process.
A three-member recommendation committee, headed by Ramesh Chandra Poudel, a member of the National Planning Commission, put forth the candidacy of Mahesh Bhattarai for the prestigious position of Secretary of the Council. In addition to Bhattarai, Tek Bahadur Malla, the director of the National Seep Test, and Binod Baral, the chief of the Quality Project, were also recommended for the same role.
The selection process involved a comprehensive assessment, with eight individuals presenting their work plans and undergoing interviews for the coveted Secretary position. The committee carefully considered the qualifications and capabilities of the candidates before making their recommendations.
The vacancy for the CTEVT Secretary position arose due to the age limit constraint affecting Jeeb Narayan Kafle resulting in the conclusion of his term. Mahesh Bhattarai's appointment marks a significant step forward in the leadership of CTEVT, and it is expected that his expertise will contribute positively to the advancement of technical education and vocational training in the country.
