MAU Conducts Second Entrance Exam for BSc Ag (Hons.) Program

Madhesh Agricultural University (MAU), established by the Madhesh State Government, conducted its entrance examination for the BSc Hons in Agriculture (B.Sc. Ag. Hons.) program on Poush 20, 2080 (January 6, 2024). This examination signifies a crucial milestone in the university's academic calendar, highlighting its dedication to agricultural education and research. The entrance exam took place on a Saturday, with a total of 143 participants, including 72 female students, representing all eight districts of Madhesh and 10 additional districts such as Ramechhap and Sindhuli. Admissions for new students were announced on November 6, 2023.

The available seats include 50 in total, comprising 10 for merit (100% free study), 9 reserved for women, Dalit, tribal tribals, martyrs, conflict-affected/locals, staff quota, and 31 open quotas. The four-year B.Sc. AG program carries a total cost of Rs. 320,000. Professor Dr. Nagendra Yadav shared that a contract for constructing the university building has been awarded, and efforts are underway for the establishment of a laboratory.
