A program called 'Learning by earning and earning by learning' will be implemented at community schools in Bagmati Province. The Education Development Directorate, Hetauda, under the Social Development Ministry of Bagmati Province, will implement the program in the current fiscal year.
Director of the Education Development Directorate, Purna Bahadur Darji, said the program will be implemented to connect community school students with livelihood. The Directorate is spending Rs 18.15 million to implement the program.
Darji mentioned that it is planned to invest in the program that connects students with agriculture and technology, and 50 percent of the total income from the program would be deposited at the school fund. The remaining 50 percent would be provided to students.
The Social Development Ministry launched the program in the last fiscal year, while the Directorate is going to launch this program in the current fiscal year.
Making the students capable of their livelihood after completing their education is the program's main objective, it is said. (RSS)
