Kathmandu University School of Law (KUSOL) has recently announced the launch of two new postgraduate programs in the field of energy and infrastructure. The programs, namely the Master in Energy and Infrastructure Law (MEIL) and Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Energy and Infrastructure Law, will be offered to students starting from the academic session 2079/80. Interested candidates can apply for admission to these courses, which are designed to be completed in four semesters over two years.

The primary objective of these courses is to produce skilled legal experts who can contribute to the energy and infrastructure sector in Nepal. KUSOL aims to produce professionals who can conduct research and provide legal services with proficiency and expertise.

According to Shiva Giri, the program coordinator of KUSOL, a maximum of 20 students will be admitted in a semester to ensure that students receive personalized attention from their instructors. The university will offer classes for these programs at both its campuses located in Dhulikhel and Lalitpur.

Giri further elaborated that the university will adopt a multidisciplinary approach to the programs, combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience. The programs will involve commercial and experimental projects, giving students the opportunity to apply their legal expertise in real-world situations.

KUSOL's move to launch these programs comes at a time when Nepal is witnessing a surge in demand for legal professionals in the energy and infrastructure sector. With the launch of these programs, KUSOL hopes to cater to this demand and produce skilled manpower that can contribute to the country's growth and development.
