Lalitpur, Oct 7, 2024 — In a landmark move to advance technological education in Nepal, Kathmandu University (KU) and Ullens Education Foundation (UEF) have signed an agreement to jointly launch a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Cybersecurity program. The signing ceremony, held on October 7, 2024, formalizes a strategic partnership between two leading educational institutions dedicated to innovation and excellence.
The four-year undergraduate program is set to begin in 2025 and will enroll an initial cohort of around 30 students. Designed to meet the growing demand for cybersecurity professionals, the program will offer a rigorous curriculum that blends core concepts in cybersecurity with advanced topics such as machine learning and digital forensics.
Under the agreement, both KU and UEF will collaborate on curriculum development, faculty support, and infrastructure enhancement. A joint steering committee has been formed to ensure the program's smooth execution, quality assurance, and long-term sustainability.
“This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to preparing students for the rapidly evolving digital landscape,” said representatives from KU and UEF. “By combining KU’s academic expertise with UEF’s progressive educational approach, we aim to deliver a transformative learning experience.”
