Kathmandu University’s School of Engineering, in collaboration with the Ullens Education Foundation (UEF), has officially launched a four-year Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) program in Cybersecurity.

The initiative follows an agreement signed between the two institutions on October 7, 2024, aimed at expanding access to cutting-edge technological education in Nepal. As per the agreement, Ullens College, at Khumaltar Lalitpur, widely known for offering the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, will conduct and manage the new program.

The first intake begins with the opening of registrations on August 6, 2025, and classes are set to commence within the same academic year with an initial cohort of 30 students.

Both institutions will jointly develop the curriculum and provide essential infrastructure, overseen by a dedicated steering committee to ensure smooth implementation and long-term sustainability.

This initiative is a strategic collaboration that combines KU’s academic expertise and UEF’s commitment to progressive education. The program is designed to provide the students with comprehensive knowledge in cybersecurity , machine learning, and related fields, equipping them to address emerging challenges in the digital world.
