Kathmandu Youth Conclave 2024 Concludes Successfully

The highly anticipated Kathmandu Youth Conclave 2024, organized by Phoenix College and Universal College, concluded on Saturday, Bhadra 08, 2081, at the prestigious Pragya Pratisthan (Nepal Academy) in Kathmandu. The day-long event, themed "Inspiring Youth, Leading the Nation," aimed to promote new methods by bringing necessary changes to the traditional teaching system. Similarly, it assisted young students in both academic and entrepreneurial development and linked them with the knowledge and experience of various celebrities and distinguished individuals.

The conclave started with a keynote address by the Prime Minister of Nepal, KP Sharma Oli. In it, he stated that the country can only move forward through youth upliftment, youth development, and youth empowerment. He emphasized that the youth are the country's ultimate strength and that the country cannot progress as envisioned unless the youth are aware and engaged.

Another key speaker was renowned actor and social activist Rajesh Hamal, who said nothing is impossible if the youths have willpower and confidence. He stated that the youths should not always look for the easy way out and should find their own way in the world no matter how hard the path seems. He also encouraged the youths to follow their inner passion, take risks, and work towards their goal.

During the conclave, Sushant Khatri was awarded the 'Youth Icon Nepal' prize of one lakh rupees for promoting Nepal on the global stage through dance. Raju Tandan, the coordinator of the conclave, expressed that the conclave has successfully created an ideal platform for connecting youth and empowering them through necessary leadership, entrepreneurship development, and managerial and industrial skills.

The event coordinator, Raju Tandan, stated that the event urged the government to take young students' demands and concerns seriously. He claimed that the conference inspired students to be patriotic, emphasizing that there are ample opportunities within the country, especially when youth are increasingly drawn abroad. This was the fifth edition of the program, which started in 2076 B.S. The organizers have announced that it will be continued every year.
