Kathmandu University's School of Engineering, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, has launched two new programs:
- Bachelor of Technology in Artificial Intelligence (BTech AI) and
- Masters of Technology in Artificial Intelligence (MTech AI)
With the September 2021 admission, classes of both programs will officially begin, according to the university. The programs were launched during a press conference on August 9, 2021.
Prof. Dr. Manish Pokharel, Dean of the School of Engineering, addressed the attendees and the press at the press conference that Kathmandu University is providing these two degrees in response to the growing need for artificial intelligence expertise and employees both globally and nationally. The programs are the first of their kind in Nepal.
The university is glad to extend a platform to obtain Bachelor's and Master's degrees in such specialized fields, and it thinks that it will meet the country's demands in terms of producing AI professionals.
