On Chaitra 23, 2080 (April 5, 2024), Kathmandu University (KU) and Simrik Ventures (SV) have formed a collaboration to introduce Bachelor in Aviation Management program with the objective of nurturing future leaders within the aviation sector. The agreement, signed by Prof. Dr. Bijay K.C., Dean of the School of Management at KU, and Mr. Sanat Neupane, CEO of Simrik Ventures, marks a significant milestone in this collaboration.
The Bachelor's program in Aviation Management will span four years and provide a comprehensive curriculum covering various facets of aviation management. With an initial intake of approximately 30 students, the program is slated to commence in 2025, subject to necessary approvals.
In the agreement, both parties have delineated their responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of the program. Kathmandu University will oversee curriculum development, academic guidance, and evaluation, while Simrik Ventures will manage infrastructural arrangements, teaching activities, and student assessment, among other duties.
Prof. Dr. Achyut Wagle, Registrar at KU, extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries and expressed optimism about the collaboration, emphasizing it as a fusion of academic prowess and industry insight.
Capt. Rameshwar Thapa, Chairman of Simrik Ventures, echoed similar sentiments, underscoring the program's potential to enrich Nepal's aviation landscape. He expressed enthusiasm for partnering with Kathmandu University and hoped that their combined efforts would empower students to emerge as leaders and innovators in the aviation sector, thereby fostering growth and sustainability.
The signing ceremony, attended by senior officials from both institutions, took place at Kathmandu University School of Management.
