Kathmandu Model College in Bagbazar hosted a day of spiritual reverence and academic celebration, featuring Saraswati Puja, the Annual Release of KMC Vox, and an Awards Ceremony honoring long-serving Faculty and Staff, as well as contributors to KMC Vox [Volume 3 Issue 1]. Led by College Chief Mr. Surendra Subedi and Kathmandu Model Secondary School [KMSS] Principal Nagendra Aryal, Saraswati Puja commenced with traditional rituals, followed by Prasad and Tika distribution. Contributors to KMC Vox were felicitated alongside the recognition of academic achievers.
In a serene atmosphere, students, faculty, and staff gathered to pay homage to the goddess of knowledge, Saraswati, in a respectful Saraswati Puja ceremony. College Chief Mr. Surendra Subedi and KMC +2 Principal Nagendra Aryal presided over the auspicious rituals, invoking blessings for academic success and wisdom. Following the traditional Puja, attendees received blessings from Prasad and Tika, fostering a sense of spiritual unity and devotion.
Simultaneously, the college's intellectual vibrancy was showcased through the release of the annual edition of KMC Vox. Former ambassador for Israel and Chairperson of the College Management Committee, Prof. Dr. Upendra Koirala, inaugurated the ceremony of vox release and award distribution by lighting the lamp. College Chief Mr. Surendra Subedi welcomed the attendees and highlighted the program's significance. The publication featured contributions from students and faculty, with contributors honored for their exceptional writings, underscoring the magazine's commitment to nurturing a culture of free expression and intellectual dialogues.
The college also recognized Faculty and Staff who have served KMC for over 10 years. Chief guest Ms. Anjaan Shakya expressed her good wishes and was pleased to be part of the ceremony on the auspicious day of Saraswati Puja. In a fitting tribute to academic excellence, an award ceremony honored students who secured top exam positions with Certificates, Trophies, and Cash Prizes. These exemplary students are role models, inspiring a culture of academic excellence within the college community.
