Kathmandu Model College welcomed students, entrepreneurs, and industry professionals to its campus on February 23, 2024, for the "Inspiring Next-Gen Entrepreneurs: Start, Scale, Soar" Event. The event, held in collaboration with the Nepalese Youth Entrepreneurs Foundation (NYEF) and the KMC Entrepreneurship Club, aimed to ignite entrepreneurial spirit among students while bridging the gap between academia and real-world entrepreneurship.
With the support of the International Labour Organization (ILO), the event attracted 145 participants eager to learn from renowned entrepreneurs and industry leaders. Miss Sumana Shrestha, a member of the Federal Parliament of Nepal, delivered the keynote address, emphasizing the importance of entrepreneurship in today's rapidly changing world.
Throughout the event, panelists Santosh Pandey, Anima Piya, and Sanjog Koirala shared their personal entrepreneurial journeys, discussing the challenges they faced and the lessons they learned along the way. Their insights provided invaluable guidance to aspiring student entrepreneurs, inspiring them to pursue their goals with determination and resilience.
The event also featured an opening address by Prof. Dr. Upendra Kumar Koirala, who highlighted the significance of entrepreneurship education for students and outlined the steps ahead in their entrepreneurial journey. Surendra Subedi, the College Chief, delivered the closing remarks, expressing KMC's commitment to supporting young entrepreneurs in their endeavors.
One of the most significant moments of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Kathmandu Model College and the Nepalese Youth Entrepreneurs Foundation (NYEF). The MoU seeks to establish a collaborative partnership aimed at promoting entrepreneurship education, providing mentorship opportunities, and supporting student startups. This partnership underscores the shared commitment of both institutions to empower the next generation of entrepreneurs and drive economic growth and social impact.
