Kathmandu Metropolitan City, in collaboration with Kathmandu University, has launched the Teacher College Program. Funding for the program, disclosed during its inauguration by Deputy Chief Sunita Dangol, amounts to approximately 31 million rupees. This funding supports educational reforms, including infrastructure development and provision of teaching materials and technology. Innovative educational practices like "book-free Fridays" and advanced early childhood development classes are encouraged.
Teachers participating in the program undergo comprehensive training, earning academic credits and potentially advancing degrees in education.
