After a remarkable hiatus in 2023, the Hult Prize at IOE, Pulchowk Campus, is set to return with boundless possibilities in 2024. Recognized as the "Nobel Prize for students," this international competition motivates young minds to craft innovative social businesses that tackle the world's most pressing issues.

Under the leadership of Mr. Bishal Bashyal in previous years, the Hult Prize at IOE, Pulchowk Campus, received nominations for five international awards, recognized for its contribution to UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through innovation-led youth entrepreneurship. Notably, the program clinched the Central South Asia Program of the Year Award from Nepal, and the team was invited to the office of the Honorable President for discussions on the impact of their work. In 2023, the program, led by CD Bishal Bashyal and his team, received an endorsement from the mayor of Lalitpur metropolitan city. Over a span of three years, Campus Director Mr. Bashyal trained over 18,000 students from 14 engineering campuses across the country.

With the theme of “Redesigning Fashion," the Hult Prize at IOE Pulchowk Campus 2023 was able to make a great impact on a lot of people. Discussions were made about reducing the carbon footprint that the fashion industry possesses on the environment by focusing on not doing mass production, using almost zero plastic, and launching collections. All of the attendees and campus ambassadors from ten different universities were incredibly enthusiastic, filling the room to the brim.

This year, the Hult Prize Challenge presents an unprecedented theme: UNLIMITED. Participants are empowered to pitch any idea for a social enterprise, free from constraints, as long as it aligns with at least one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As we aspire for a future marked by equity, sustainability, and shared prosperity, we invite you to leverage the power of business to shape the world you envision.

Under the capable leadership of Mr. Aaditya Pandey, the Hult Prize at IOE Pulchowk Campus 2024 is poised for a transformative influence. The journey begins with an orientation at IOE, Pulchowk Campus, featuring esteemed guests Mr. Saswat Karki, Human Resource Domain at Laxmi Sunrise Bank, Adjunct Professor, and Storyteller, along with Hon. Santosh Chalise, Member of the House of Representatives and Chairperson of the Finance Committee. We are honored by their presence and look forward to their valuable insights.

Join us on the 8th of December at 2:00 p.m. in the library hall for this momentous occasion. Will the students rise for change? Stay tuned for the unfolding saga of the Hult Prize at IOE, Pulchowk Campus 2024!
