The second meeting of the National Assembly unanimously approved the proposal to consider the 'Shaheed Dashrath Chand University of Health Sciences Bill-2080'.
During the meeting, the Education, Science, and Technology Minister, Ashok Kumar Rai, put forth a proposal for the bill's consideration. Subsequently, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Ganesh Timilsina, declared that the bill had been unanimously approved following a thorough discussion.
During the deliberation on the aforementioned bill, Members of Parliament including Devendra Dahal, Suresh Ale Magar, Sarada Devi Bhatta, Bhuwan Bahadur Sunar, Dr. Bimala Rai Paudyal, Narayan Prasad Dahal, and Ganga Kumari Belwase actively participated in the discussion.
With the aim of transforming the ongoing construction of Geta Medical College in Godawari Municipality of Kailali into a university and ensuring high-quality medical education, the government proposed this bill. It was officially filed in the Assembly on Asoj 19.
