Gandaki University Launches MIT AI Program

Gandaki University has announced the launch of a new Artificial Intelligence (AI) program. The university's Registrar, Dr. Kailash Timilsina, revealed that a curriculum for teaching AI at the postgraduate level has been developed.

Minister of Social Development and Health, Bindukumar Thapa officially announced the curriculum for the AI course, which is scheduled to begin on Bhadra 16.

The Master of Information Technology - Artificial Intelligence (MIT-AI) is a two-year course designed to be highly practical, integrating both natural and social sciences to provide a comprehensive education.

The curriculum was developed after extensive consultations with national and international experts. Professor Dr. Ganeshman Gurung, the university's chancellor, emphasized that the course would be highly effective if implemented properly. It is designed to be completed in two years.

Enrollment will be open only to graduates with a background in science and technology. The university will select twenty students per semester through an entrance exam. Dr. Timilsina also mentioned that a separate laboratory is being established to support the program.
