The lack of practical materials affects students studying forestry in Saraswati Secondary School, Amarapur-11, Shuklaphanta Municipality. Due to financial constraints, the school has been unable to gather practical materials. Despite the efforts to provide theoretical knowledge to students, the shortage of practical materials, including rain gauges, labels, microscopes, ovens, clinometers, chains, playhouses, chains, tree calipers, diameter tapes, speedometers, spades, snow shovels, and binoculars, is evident.
The school lacks adequate resources, even though it has found items like whiteboards, benches, etc. According to the school's principal, Rajendra Bahadur Ayer, the shortage of funds within the school limits its ability to procure necessary materials. He stated, "The school has limited resources; internal revenue is unavailable, and even though we have requested the municipality for the required materials, they have not been provided so far."
The lack of available resources hampers students' academic activities, and the principal expressed concern that the situation might continue. The school, which has been running a three-year forestry program since 2076, currently has 31 male and 25 female students enrolled. While the school has sufficient infrastructure for students studying forestry, the scarcity of practical materials remains a persistent challenge.
