A total of 5,22,000 students are expected to participate in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) of this year, which is scheduled from Chaitra 7 to 19, 2081.
The National Examination Board (NEB) Examination Control Office derived the figure based on the SEE examination forms filled out by the students to attend the examination.
However, not all students who fill out the examination form are confirmed to participate in the examination. This has been seen in previous years as well.
According to the board, 4,68,000 regular students are attending SEE in 2081, while 50,000 students filled out forms for grade improvement (2080), and 4,000 filled out forms for previous grade improvement (from 2078-079).
This year, 2,131 examination centers have been designated for the SEE, and the board has stated that there may be some changes to this number.
As per the board, the answer sheets and question papers have been delivered to all districts for the examination. Different question papers have been prepared according to the provinces for compulsory subjects in the examination. For optional subjects, based on the number of students, some have two types of question papers printed, and some have only one kind of question paper printed.
Among the examinees, 29 students from Japan (who have studied in a school operating in the Nepali language in Japan) are also participating in the SEE.
