The Minister of Education, Science, and Technology, Sumana Shrestha, has provided information that a proposal has been made to establish a two-year Child Development Class. She has also provided information on the ongoing work to increase investment in child development based on statistics and ensure the certainty of returns in the upcoming policies, programs, and budgets.
She has informed that in the upcoming year's policies and programs, a proposal has been made to legally manage and organize the Child Development Class for two years.
Minister Shrestha has provided information on numerous suggestions and feedback received at the ministry regarding the issues of child development. She said, "Simply providing facilities to child development teachers is not satisfactory. They need to work collectively with the government at all levels, and the ministry has initiated the necessary coordination."
Information has been provided that discussions have started in a month's time to coordinate and find solutions regarding this matter in meetings between the provincial and local governments.
