Education awards to schools on Intl Literacy Day

The Ministry of Education has decided to award different top schools for their performance in 2067 B.S. on the occasion of the National Education Day-2068 B.S. and the International Literacy Day. Balambu Secondary School of Balambhu, Kathmandu, bagged the national-level first prize of Rs 200,000 and certificate among the public schools.

Similarly, Shree Secondary School of Katahare, Udayapur, Tarun Secondary School of Balaju, Kathmandu, Satyawati Higher Secondary School of Damauli, Tanahun, Shanti Secondary School of Ratimata, Kalikot, and Chandrodaya Secondary School of Bhangsain, Bajhang, were awarded on the basis of the development regions.

Graded English Medium School (Gems), Lalitpur received the first prize among the private schools in the national level. The school received a purse of Rs 200,000 for its best performance among the private schools across the country.

Balkalyan Bidhyamandir Secondary School of Biratnagar, Morang, The Excelsior Boarding Secondary School of Shwayambhu, Kathmandu, New Horizon English Boarding School of Butwal, Rupandehi, Jana Jyoti Bidhyamandir Secondary School of Ghorahi, Dang, and Stepping Stone English Boarding School of Dhangadhi, Kailali, were awarded in the regional level among the private schools.

Janata Secondary School of Rupsa, Kalikot, was awarded among the schools from the remote areas. The schools awarded in the regional level and from the remote areas will get Rs 100,000 each. The schools were awarded on the basis of the marks obtained in the SLC exams; students' enrollment in grade nine and student number appeared in the SLC exams including others.
