The Open University Nepal, Academic Council has decided to carry out Diploma, Postgraduates Diploma, Masters, M. Phil and PhD programs during the last meeting held on Monday 29 Jan, 2018.
Educationist and member of the council Dr. Man Prasad Wagle informed that, the first time established University has initiated this value where students can accomplish Diploma to PhD degree studying at home by means of technical assistance.
The Council is now waiting for the implementation of the program after University assembly approve it officially on 7th February 2018.
In the beginning the University is going to establish a three different faculty (Management ,Law, Sociology and Education). Similarly, Science, Engineering, Health and Technology faculty are also in a processing phase of the university programs.
According to the University Council Member, the degree is very suitable for those who lives in abroad, engaged in household works, and is engaged in a job too.
The learning mechanism in Open University is through online medium where student can directly consult with the teacher and will be guided accordingly.
